Xerox Receives Top ENERGY STAR® Award

Xerox’s long-running Design for Sustainability initiative pays dividends

Competing against 1,000’s of ENERGY STAR partners, Xerox won this accolade for their superior commitment to energy management which has been demonstrated by their own best practices across their organisation, proven organisation-wide energy savings, and through their participation in actively and communicating the benefits of ENERGY STAR®.

This award stems from Xerox’s long-running Design for Sustainability initiative, through which Xerox redesigned the power supply on certain models of new printers to optimise energy savings, reducing energy consumption by 14%.

In Addition, Xerox collaborated with the EPA to develop the latest revision of the ENERGY STAR® Imaging Equipment standard, which defined criteria for remanufactured equipment.

With more than 500 Xerox products having achieved ENERGY STAR® registration, customers can be confident that their purchasing decisions are optimised for the needs of the environment.

The Xerox Green World Alliance is a valuable recycling program that minimises environmental impacts of printer supplies and provides options to throwing away empty containers.

Through this system, customers with many printers can use the Xerox ECO-BOX program to request delivery or collection of empty boxes to ensure the safe disposal of toner and other consumable items from their print devices.
